Counseling Services
Restored Counsel LLC provides biblical counseling rooted in the truth of God’s Word, with a focus on heart-level change, practical help, and Christ-centered hope.
What Is Biblical Counseling?
Biblical counseling is a form of pastoral care and discipleship that seeks to help people understand and respond to life’s struggles through the lens of Scripture. Rather than treating God’s Word as an occasional add-on, we believe the Bible speaks with clarity and authority to the real problems of the heart.
In biblical counseling, we will open the Scriptures together, pray, and explore how the gospel of Jesus Christ brings both comfort and correction into specific situations. Our aim is not simply to relieve symptoms, but to help you grow in Christlikeness, faith, and obedience.
What Biblical Counseling Is Not
Restored Counsel LLC provides biblical counseling, not clinical mental health treatment. We do not function as licensed professional counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, or medical providers when serving in this role.
- We do not diagnose mental health disorders or prescribe medication.
- We do not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.
- We do not provide court-ordered evaluations or expert witness testimony.
If you are currently under the care of a physician, psychiatrist, therapist, or other licensed professional, we encourage you to continue that care. Biblical counseling is intended to complement, not replace, appropriate professional services.
Who We Serve
Restored Counsel serves individuals, couples, and families who are seeking help from a distinctively Christian, Bible-centered perspective. You do not need to have everything figured out theologically to receive help, but you should be willing to consider what God says in His Word and how it applies to your life.
We regularly walk with people through struggles such as:
- Anxiety, fear, and worry.
- Discouragement, weariness, and depression-like struggles.
- Marriage and family conflicts.
- Pornography, sexual sin, and patterns of secret struggle.
- Anger, bitterness, and forgiveness.
- Grief, loss, and suffering.
- Decision-making, life transitions, and spiritual direction.
In some situations, we may recommend that you pursue additional care alongside counseling (for example, medical evaluation, crisis intervention, or specialized services).
Session Format and Length
Counseling sessions are typically scheduled for about 60 minutes. In some cases, it may be wise to schedule a slightly longer initial appointment to hear your story and understand your situation more fully.
Sessions may be held:
- In person, when appropriate and feasible.
- Online via secure video conferencing.
- Occasionally by phone, when video is not possible.
The format for your sessions will be discussed with you during the scheduling or intake process.
Fees and Scheduling
Restored Counsel LLC provides fee-based biblical counseling. Unless we agree otherwise in advance, the standard fees for Restored Counsel are: 90-minute intake session (individual or couple): $90; 60-minute individual follow-up session (about 60 minutes): $60; and 60-minute couple follow-up session (about 60–75 minutes): $75.
When we confirm an appointment time, you may be asked to place a valid credit or debit card on file through our secure online system. Your card will not be charged when you schedule or confirm your session—it simply reserves your appointment and allows for simple, secure billing. Your session will only be charged after the counseling appointment is completed, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If you have questions about your appointment or payment after scheduling, please contact us through the Contact page. If cost is a concern, please let us know when we follow up so we can discuss possible options.
Restored Counsel LLC does not bill insurance and cannot guarantee reimbursement from any insurance provider. You may request a receipt if you wish to submit payment information to your HSA/FSA or insurer.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice when possible. Late cancellations or missed appointments (“no-shows”) may be billed in accordance with the counseling and financial policies you receive during intake, except in cases of true emergency.
To begin the counseling process, you may submit an intake form or request an appointment through our scheduling page. Once your request is received, we will follow up to confirm details and propose available appointment times.
What to Expect in Counseling
During counseling sessions, you can expect your counselor to:
- Listen carefully and seek to understand your story without rushing to simple answers.
- Open the Bible with you and help you see how God’s Word speaks into your situation.
- Pray with you and for you, asking the Lord to work in your heart and circumstances.
- Help you identify patterns of thinking, believing, and responding that may be unhelpful or unbiblical.
- Offer specific, practical steps of obedience, repentance, reconciliation, or wisdom.
You will also be encouraged to participate actively in the process by:
- Speaking honestly about your struggles, questions, and doubts.
- Completing any suggested homework, reading, or reflection between sessions.
- Seeking to apply what you are learning in real-life situations.
Confidentiality and Safety
We take confidentiality seriously and seek to handle your information with care and discretion. Our general approach to confidentiality is explained more fully in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
There are, however, important exceptions where information may need to be shared with others, such as when there is a clear risk of harm to yourself or others, reasonable suspicion of abuse, or when we are otherwise required by law to report or disclose certain information.
Restored Counsel LLC is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger or are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or your local emergency number, or go to the nearest emergency room.
